The Way, The Truth, and The Life Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) sought to transition from ad-hoc, traditional ministry outreach to a structured, high-impact community empowerment model in South Oak Cliff. The objective was to address deep-seated, systemic vulnerabilities—including underemployment, literacy gaps, and basic-needs insecurity—exacerbated by decades of historical and economic marginalization in the neighborhood. To achieve this, the church required a comprehensive strategic plan and capital-mobilization framework to pursue a $60,000 grant and launch a dedicated community hub.

To operationalize this vision, the consulting team architected a localized, asset-based resource-center strategy. The plan centered on converting underutilized faith-based real estate into a high-utility asset called the Denley Drive Resource Center, shifting the organizational paradigm toward structured, holistic social-service delivery.
